Community Governance Project

Take Part Salford are currently running a Community Governance Project.

The project began in June 2009 with a series of focus groups which explored people's experiences of taking part in decision-making structures in Salford. We wanted to find out about their inspiration, motivations and challenges so that we could look at new ways to support and encourage people to get involved in local-decision-making.

We produced a report detailing our findings - available online in our downloads section, or available in print upon request.

   Community Governance Report

The project is now moving into a new phase which will involve the implementation of some of the recommendations from the report. We have developed the Salford Apprentice Programme - a training programme for people who want to make a difference in their communities and get involved with local decision-making.
